The Cultural Chief, Rwot Justine Ocitti Biny of the Pagak Clan in Amuru district has assured the Youth that the Cultural Institution of Acholi is working hard to have a Uniform Bride Price.

Rwot Biny said that the initiative would give room for the youth to marry and reduce domestic violence.
The Pagak Chief said that they have realized that there were many domestic violence, increasing HIV/AIDS infection and that most of the youth have opted to remain single.

The youth who were meeting in Pabbo sub County condemned the marriage of the Deputy speaker of Parliament-Jacob Oulanya which was at 100 Million shillings.

The youth urged the cultural Institution to check such bride price adding that it discourages them from marriage.

Christopher Odongkara, the Councillor 5 for Pabbo sub County agreed with the youth saying that they were right to appeal for uniform Bride Price adding that he also paid bride price last year at 12 Million shillings.
