Police in Busia district have arrested a lady in her mid twenties for throwing her own child in a pit .

Rehma Nalukoma was interrogated at Busia Police station on Tuesday where police learnt that with the help of a friend ,she dumped the baby she had just given birth to in a pit .

The residents with the help of police forced Nalukoma to to lead them to the place where she  dumped the baby.She was heavily guarded by police from some of the residents who wanted to beat her up.
