Uganda People’s Congress party wants active and working reforms set up in Uganda’s education system to bridge some of the existing inequalities in access to education and standards across the country .
While addressing the press at the party’s weekly briefing in Kampala on Wednesday, Prof. Joseph Bossa UPC’s vice president said that with the existing financial inequalities, children of the poor always have high chances of failing examinations as those of the rich people pass.
“It is the government’s responsibility to ensure that the inequality is bridged ” he said
The professor added that the children from poor parents also do not study to higher levels of education making the government to lose out on their productivity.
“The future of Uganda is doomed if the education trend remains as it is ,where many children and parents fail to make it to the next level.” The professor warned
