The Chairperson of the Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) has attributed the poor performance among students among students in Secondary schools to love affairs among students.
While delivering his address during the release of the S.4, O’Level 2012 results on Thursday at the Statistics House, educationist Fagil Monday laid out the different things which cause students to fail. Among them he pointed at Love affairs among students which he said distracts students from concentrating on academics.
He also pointed at laziness among students, stating that according to some assessments the ministry has conducted, many students are lazy and do not know how to keep time. He said that such students are unable to adjust to the pressure of reading hard to excel.
He has advised students to embrace class discussion groups which help in training students to examine themselves.
