Kawempe member of parliament, Mr. Latif Sebaggala has suggested that the capital city of Uganda should be shifted away from Kampala because at the moment, it is so congested.
Sebaggala said apart from the fact that the capital is congested, he doubts that Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) leadership will ever be able to agree and take care of the city’s problems the way it ought to be. At the moment, KCCA’s director, Jennifer Musisi and Kampala Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago are entangled in authority wars that seem unending.
However, Rafael Magyenzi, the Deputy Chairperson of the Public Service and Local Government Committee said for the request to be considered, Mr. Sebaggala has to put a formal request to parliament and it will be discussed upon and later on decided.
