UACE Results 2012 were released on Tuesday by Uganda’s examination body UNEB. The central region emerged best in the 2012 UACE after Wakiso, Mukono, Luwero ,Kampala registered the highest numbers of four principle passes .
In the Western region, Mbarara, Kabale, Bushenyi, Kasese, Kabarole, Ntungamo and Rukungiri got the highest number of students with four principle passes.
In the Eastern region ,Mbale and Jinja, Iganga, Soroti, Tororo and Bugiri were the best performing districts in the 2012 UACE .
In the Northern region, Arua district emerged the best and was followed by Lira, Gulu, Koboko and Kitgum.
Meanwhile the worst performing districts included Buvuma, Bulambuli, Nakapiripit, Alebtong.These had no student with four principle passes .
The education Minister ,Jessica Alupo after receiving the 2012 UACE results said that there was a general increase in last year’s performance than the previous year 2011.
A 69.4% qualification rate in the recently released results places the statistic ahead of the previous outcome, which stood at 64.0%.
