Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has withheld the results of 404 students suspected of examination malpractice in the recently released UACE S.6 results.

Some of the affected schools are Nagalama Muslim, Kampala Hall, Gomba Global College and Ambrolini College. UNEB is set to meet invigilators and administrators of schools with cancelled results on February 28 as investigations for examination malpractice continue.

The examination body reported that centers and invigilators were involved in malpractice and they have been blacklisted by UNEB.

Most of the students who sat for the exams were Arts students.

A total of 111,456 students sat for the exams and UNEB registered a 99.3% passing rate as compared to last year.

Girls generally performed better than girls especially in Arts subject; boys performed better than girls in Science subjects.

The schools whose results were withheld belong to seven districts countrywide.
