Traders operating along Kampala Bombo road have today closed the road protesting the scarcity of electricity in the areas which has affected their businesses.

The traders told reporters that they have not had electricity for a week yet all their businesses are based electricity.

The traders also accused KCCA officials of confiscating their generators which they use as an alternative source of electricity on grounds that they pollute the city.
The central police station DPC James Ruhweza said that the power outage on Kampala Bombo road is as a result of a cut underground cable of which UMEME is sorting.
