As  the rest of the teachers were reporting on duty  for the first term , a teacher in Lamwo district was also preparing to join another life.

Francis Ogiki, a teacher of Apyeta primary school in Lamwo district  reportedly drunk himself silly on Sunday evening and was found hanging with a rope on his neck.

Christopher Omal the Ogili sub county local Councilor III chairman told journalists in Gulu that Ogiki was found by his son at 8am on Monday .

Santa Ogiki -his wife said that there was no misunderstanding between them but said that her husband was drinking for the past 4 days without coming home.

Suicide in Acholi sub region is common especially after the over 20 years of LRA Insurgency.

Some of the cases are linked to the bad past memories of the LRA Atrocities, Drunkenness, Land wrangles, Domestic Violence among others.
