By Ahura Mujuni Mark

State House has appointed Sarah Kagingo, a former guild president at Makerere University as a special presidential assistant in charge of communication. Her appointment  puts the job of the outspoken presidential press secretary ,Tamale Mirundi in the balance since Kagingo has been carrying out the roles similar to those of Mirundi since she was appointed.

Though no official hint has been received from statehouse concerning Mirundi’s sacking ,sources link the move  to Mirundi’ continued abrasive statements which they cause more harm to president Museveni than improving his image to the public.

Sources from State House say ,the appointment of Kagingo marks the beginning of restructuring the entire press and communications department that would see new people recruited, and others dropped or redeployed.

Kagingo will among other things be responsible for putting President Museveni’s remarks clear to the media.

“So many of the president’s remarks have been taken out of context by the media and my role is to try and find a solution to this,”  Sarah Kagingo noted last week
