“Storage Wars” star, Mark Balelo committed suicide shortly after being arrested for a drug related offense last week, Saturday.
Balelo is said to have committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning after he was found dead in his car. The car was found parked and running the garage at his auction house in Simi Valley California.
According to sources, when he got out of jail, he felt distraught that he asked his fiance to go over to his house saying he was afraid he would hurt himself. The two met at his office on Sunday, talked for a few hours and took a four hour nap. Upon, waking up, he seemingly seemed better than before.
Balelo’s fiance left Sunday evening and his body was found by one of his employees on Monday morning. An autopsy is yet to be carried out tomorrow to determine the cause of death.
Balelo was aged 40 and had appeared on a couple of episodes of Storage Wars. He helped Nicolas Cage recover a mint-condition copy of a 1938 Action Comics book that was stolen from the actor’s storage locker. The comic book was valued at $1 million. He owned Balelo Inc., a business that specializes in asset liquidations and closeout sales. He previously ran a gaming store called The Game Exchange.
