S.6  UACE 2012 results are out .The senior six results were released on Tuesday by the  Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB.

After an assessment of the 2012 UACE results  where girls performed better than boys ,they were handed over to the education Minister ,Hon Jessica Alupo .

There is an improved performance  in the 2o12  performance compared to that of 2011. More students qualify for joining tertiary institutions since a  higher percentage of candidates  scored two principal passes .

A 69.4% qualification rate in the recently released results places the statistic ahead of the previous outcome, which stood at 64.0%.

The results were handed over by UNEB’s board chairman Fagil Mandy  who said that female candidates  performed better than boys in the 2012 S.6 UACE results.

About 103,000 students sat for the A-Level final examinations last year.
