S.6 Results 2012 were released on Tuesday morning by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB.
The 2012 UACE results were handed over to the Education Minister Jesicca Alupo by UNEB’s board chairman Fagil Mandy who said that female candidates performed better than boys in the 2012 S.6 UACE examinations .
There is generally an improved performance in the 2o12 performance compared to that of 2011.
More students qualify for joining tertiary institutions since a higher percentage of candidates scored two principal passes .
Meanwhile UNEB has withheld the results of 404 students suspected of examination malpractice in the released UACE S.6 results.
Some of the affected schools are Nagalama Muslim, Kampala Hall, Gomba Global College and Ambrolini College. UNEB is set to meet invigilators and administrators of schools with cancelled results on February 28 as investigations for examination malpractice continue.
The examination body reported that centers and invigilators were involved in malpractice and they have been blacklisted by UNEB.
A total of 111,456 students sat for the exams .
