London born actor, Robin Sachs has died. He was aged 61.

Associated with the science fiction genre, Sachs is commonly known for his role as a villain on the show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. His 61st birthday was on February 5th.

His death was confirmed by a post on his official website which wrote, “This is a post we never thought we would have to write. It is with great sadness that we have to announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Robin Sachs. “Please join us in raising a glass to Robin – goodbye, dear friend. Thank you for all the laughter and the cookies. We will miss you so very much.”

Apart from the TV show, Sachs’ other movie credits include the Ocean’s Eleven, Resident Evil Outbreak and The Lost World: Jurassic Park.

The staff also wrote: ”Please join us in raising a glass to Robin – goodbye, dear friend. Thank you for all the laughter and the cookies. We will miss you so very much.”

It is said that Sachs actually died on Friday, February 1.

The cause of his death or funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
