The NRM caucus yesterday at state House Entebbe resolved to adopt the reports of the Public Accounts Committee on the compensation of Dura cement limited and the Jinja Bugiri road.

The government Chief Whip Justine Kasule Lumumba told scribes at parliament that the caucus yesterday harmonized the position on the reports at the floor of parliament.

She said that it was agreed in the caucus that the report on Dura cement be adopted as it is and forward the issue to the investigative arms of government to bring the culprits to book. The Mps also vowed to spare anyone implicated.

However on the side of the President ,the Mps defended him saying ,he was ill advised on the matter.

On the issue of the Jinja-Bugiri road compensation, Mrs Lumumba said, the party agreed to adopt the committee report adding that the attorney general and the minister of works and transport explain the concerns of the members in the report.

The caucus also agreed to adopt the national economy report on the financial status of Uganda Investment Authority  but  resolved that the committee should go ahead and handle the value for money audit report rather than coming up with a special committee investigate the authority.
