After over 5 months without receiving any drop of rain, residents in Arua district yesterday were surprised by heavy rains that caused a lot of destruction on their houses and other properties.

The rain according to the residents injured 9 people within Arua town and destroyed over 100 huts within Arua municipality.

Some of the people injured were mainly from Oli village in Arua Municipality.

Several trees were uprooted and roofs were blown in different places.

By Press time, the destitute had not received any help from either government or any  Non-governmental organization.
