Brig Muhoozi Keinerugaba  the son of President Yoweri Museveni has received an award at the Tarehe Sita  celebrations going on in Arua district in Northern Uganda.

Muhoozi who commands special forces  was decorated with 50th National Independence Golden Jubilee award.

The 50th National Independence Golden Jubilee award was launched to honor Ugandans who have contributed to the development of the nation since Independence (1962.Other officials who received  the award include; the coordinator of Intelligence Organs Gen David Tinyefuza  and the late Army commander Maj Gen James Kazini .

Meanwhile Tarehe celebrations are ongoing and are being presided over by president Museveni.
Other top government officials present  at the function  include the Vice President ,Edward Sekandi ,Army Spokesperson Felix Kulayigye among others.
