By Jane Nambi

Butambala motor cyclists (boda boda men) are protesting and threatening to burn down the Butambala police station saying their police officers steal from them.

The cyclists claim that a motor cycle belonging to one of the cyclists was allegedly impounded by two police officers who said it had been used to carry illegal goods. However, instead of taking it to the police station, the police officers are said to have taken the motor cycle.

One of the police men who is said to have stolen the bike was only identified as Musa and is currently on the run. Police is looking for him and his partner.

The motorists have promised to burn down the police station if the bike is not returned. The district RDC called upon the men to calm down saying it will not be useful to burn down the police building.
