The police spokesperson for Northern Uganda has issued a strong warning to youth who might want to celebrate Valentine’s Day to be mindful of HIV/AIDS.

Addressing the press on Thursday morning ,Johnson Kilama urged the youth in Northern Uganda to celebrate their Valentine’s Day carefully without drinking and involving in risky behaviors.

Kilama said that HIV/AIDS has got no cure yet and that the youth should take care when celebrating the day.

Valentine’s Day is observed on February 14 each year. It is celebrated in many countries around the world, although it remains a working day to most of them.

St. Valentine’s Day began as a liturgical celebration of one or more early Christian saints named Valentinus.

The day is associated with Saint Valentine who was imprisoned for performing weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry and for ministering to Christians Legend states and he was executed.
