Police in Pakwach town Council have arrested a woman for allegedly collecting money from residents to run an organization that does not exist.

Evelyn Rugumba 40, is said to be a resident of Anaka Sub-county Nwoya district.

Josephine Angucia, the North Western Region police spokesperson  told the press today  Rugumba collected about 1.5 Million shillings from over 30 residents in Pakwach.

He said that the woman claimed to have an organization called Pen Pal Africa in Kampala which she said that was not registered.

She said that there were also 2 others whom she said that were on the run after Rugumba was arrested.

Angucia identified the other 2 as Wilfred Ojok and Okello Dennis.
