South African Paralympic athlete Oscar Pistorius  has shot his girlfriend dead ,News 24

Multiple media outlets in the country say the woman died at the scene at the athlete’s house in Pretoria.

Police spokesperson Captain Sarah Mcirca  said the victim was shot in the arm and head.

Reports say he may have mistaken her for a thief.

The 26-year-old was the first double amputee to run in the Olympics.
