The Ministry of Health in collaboration with Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation-Uganda (Baylor-Uganda) informs the general public of the availability o bursaries for the following course under the ministry of health/health development Partners’ Bursary Scheme.
- Certificate in Midwifery (two and half years)
- Certificate in Medical Laboratory Techniques (Two years)
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
Number of bursaries: total – 475: Certificate in Midwifery (250), Certificate in Medical Laboratory Techniques (150) and Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (75).
The minimum requirements for entry into each of the courses are:
- Certificate of midwifery and certificate in medical laboratory techniques: Must have passed senior four (S.4) with at least passes in the following subjects:
- English
- Mathemataics
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Diploma in medical laboratory technology: 1 principal pass in biology and 2 subsidiary passes one of which must be in chemistry.

Ugandan nationals
Applicants:
- Who secure admission to the bursary implementing health training institutions.
- Whose districts of origin/previous schools attended are hard to reach/undeserved districts
- Who shall be willing to sin bonding agreements to work for the number of years equivalent to the period of study in the hard to reach/undeserved districts.
