NRMs Rebel MPs have been given only one week to appear at the party’s disciplinary committee .The grace period for the rebelling MPs is out as parliament resumes business today.

Earlier ,the NRM party caucus spokesperson Evelyn told the media that  that the five MPs will appear before the committee when Parliament returns from recess.

Now Party Chief whip Kasule Lumumba announced on Monday that the NRM Rebel MPs including Barnabas Tinkasiimire (Buyaga West), Wilfred Niwagaba (Ndorwa East), Theodore Ssekikubo (Lwemiyaga County), Mohammed Nsereko (Kampala Central), and Vincent Kyamadidi (Rwampara County) will have to appear at the disciplinary committee in one week and file their defense in two weeks.

However ,all these  accused MPs have vowed not to respond to the party summons, according to close sources.

The MPs are accused of criticizing the NRM top party leadership and taking positions contrary to those of the party.
