By Sandra Birungi

The students of Makerere University have threatened the life of the university Vice Chancellor, Dumba Sentamu over the new fees policy.

A new fees police at the university requires that students pay at least 60% of the university fees before sitting for any examination or course work .

To show their discontent, students went on strike Monday again giving the university administration just a week to solve the matter. They accuse the Vice Chancellor of orchestrating the policy which has failed for years at the university.

Makerere university is known for its continuous strikes over almost every issue which is introduced at the university. However, students have never before threatened to bring to the administration head over the issue.

At the moment, police is taking the matter seriously.

Some students have already been arrested in connection to the strike.
