By our  reporter
The parliamentary committee on gender, labuor and social development has entered its final stages of the investigations into the petition by the Ugandan girls  who  were tortured in Iraq.

The chairperson of the committee William Nokrach told journalists at parliament that the committee has met with all the witnesses and
now they intend to meet the victims for the second time to compare  notice.

He said that the director for the Uganda veteran’s board earlier made statements that were contradicting to what the girls had made before and therefore the committee saw it necessary to again interact with the girls to find out the truth.

The committee members will later travel to Iraq to collect information and later come out with a comprehensive report.

The girls in Iraq last year petitioned parliaments through Kasiro county MP Elijah Okupa that they were  taken to Iraq by the Uganda
veteran’s board on promises that they will be given good jobs but only to be sold into slavery, hard work, and torture .
