Legislators yesterday launched a Forum to lobby for quality education in the country.
While launching the parliamentary forum on quality education chaired by Wakiso woman MP Rose Mary Seninde, the speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga complained about the state of infrastructures in schools which affect both students and teachers.
Although the speaker commended government for introducing Universal Primary Education, she asks government to take interest in the challenges that are affecting the quality of this education.
Meanwhile the chairperson of the Forum R0ose Mary Seninde said that as MPs, they would like to see more funds allocated to the education sector to improve the working conditions of the teachers.
