Member of Parliament for Erute county ,Geoffrey Omara has attributed the rampant youth unemployment in country to  the poor education system.

Speaking to journalists at parliament on Tuesday , Hon Omara said that the solution to youth unemployment in the country is to train them with practical skills which will help them to create jobs for them rather than seeking for them.

He said although government set aside funds for youth entrepreneurship, the youth have not been given the right practical skills  to start up businesses.He added that the  youth are not prepared enough to to utilize the money.

He further said that government should put funds in research and technology transfer in all sectors so that youths can get jobs.
