The minister in charge of Teso Affairs ,Christian Amongin Aporu has appealed to the residents of Teso region most especially the Soroti municipality to stay calm as court  handles the case of their area MP Michael Mukula.

Minister Aporu told reporters at parliament on Monday  that people in Teso region should stop  politicizing the arrest of Mukula but rather remain calm because legislators are also following the case .

“MPs are following Mukula’s case. You should remain calm until the court gives out its final judgment,” The minister noted

The minister however castigated to some politicians who have started spreading wrong allegations that Mukula is no longer the Soroti municipality MP.

“I would also wanted to inform the Soroti municipality citizens that Michael Mukula is still the area MP and his position is still vacant.Those who spreads rumors about Mukula’s position have their own Agenda” The minister confirmed
