Richard Todwong the minister in charge of Political Mobilization has highly thanked the people of Butaleja district for electing Florence Adiru Nebanda an NRM candidate .

After receiving the news of the NRM victory in Butaleja district , Todwong who is also the MP for Nwoya district said that the support the people of Butaleja showed to the NRM Party Candidate exhibits the love they have for the party as a whole.

Todwong also explained that it was unfair for some of the opposition candidate to create ethnic differences during the campaigns.

“Some of the oppositions thought that they were more Banyole compared to Florence because her father comes from West Nile but that could not prevent the NRM supporters from electing Florence Andiru”, The  Minister told Uganda Picks

Florence Andiru Nebanda won the Butaleja by Election challenging Felistas Namwihiri for the FDC, Betty Hamba, Sarah Annet Logose, and Munaba Perusi who contested the poll as independent candidates.

The Butaleja seat fell vacant following the death of Cerinah Nebanda in December last year under unclear circumstances.

Cerinah was the younger sister to Florence.
