First Lady, Michelle Obama made a surprise at the Oscars 2013 when she announced the winner of Best Picture. The award went to Ben Affleck’s ‘Argo’.

Wearing a dress which showed her arms, Michelle looked beautiful but it was not taken lightly by Muslim countries which do not allow women showing their arms. In Iran, the first lady was photo-shopped and given a dress with arms as the picture suggests.

Iranian news agency Fars also slammed “Argo” as an “anti-Iran film … produced by the Zionist company Warner Bros.” Iran’s state own television network also gave the film a thumbs-down, calling it “an advertisement for the CIA.”

A report by The London Times pointed out that “Argo” has been banned in Iran.
