First lady, Michelle Obama caused a frenzy Wednesday when the White House released her official White House portrait.

The picture was shot by Chuck Kennedy showing off her new hairstyle. In the pictures, Mrs. Obama sits in a green chair in a dark blue dress with three-quarter length sleeves and pearls.

In the 2009 portrait, she stood in the White House Blue Room wearing a sleeveless LBD that showcased her famous arms.

Joking about her bangs, Michelle said they were a “mid-life crisis”. “I couldn’t get a sports car. They won’t let me bungee jump. So instead, I cut my bangs.”
