A  45- year -old man Labwoch parish, Gulu district has been detained by the police  for allegedly biting off the ear of  his 17 year old daughter.

Charles Odong is said to have bitten his daughter’s ear after some domestic quarrel.

Odong told the police that he bit his daughter’s ears because he wanted to teach her a lesson.

But the 17 year old girl while at the Gulu central police station accused her father of harassing her.

She noted that on several times, her father comes back home when drunk and abuse her without caring that neighbours are hearing.

The  girl also told the police that on the very day her father bit her ear, he had picked a fight with her.

James Asubu, the officer in charge of crimes at the Gulu central Police station said that the 17 year old girl was rushed to Gulu referral hospital where doctors are trying to fix her ears back.

Asubu says Odong will be charged with child torture and violence.
