Police in Gulu district  have arrested a man who was attempting to  commit suicide.

James Asubu, the police officer in charge of crimes at Gulu Central Police station  told the press on Monday that Simon Acire a resident of Nakasero village in Pece division was handed over to police by his  relatives who found a small note in his pocket indicating  his intentions of committing suicide

He said that at the time  Achire was brought at Gulu central Police station, he was drunk.

After investigations, Achire will be  produced in court and is likely to  serve two  years imprisonment if found guilty.
