Residents of  Makulubita Sub County in Luwero district  are in panic of losing their homes ,following a decision of one tycoon to sell the land  they are residing on to an investor.

The investors are now chasing the residents off the land they have lived on for over 20 years.

The area Resident Commissioner, Paul Lubowa who intervened to see that the local residents are saved said they are seeking mediation between the new owner and the local residents in the area.

He added that the biggest problem causing land problems in the country is the inability by locals to interpret the land law.

Mr Lubowa further called upon government to expeditiously educate locals on the land Act.
