The Uganda Law Society on Friday petitioned Parliament demanding  that an independent Commission of Inquiry be set up to  investigate the increased allegations of Corruption and abuse of office among judicial officials and lawyers  .

While presenting the Petition before the Speaker of Parliament ,Rebbeca Kadaga, former Supreme Court Judge Justice George Kanyeihamba said that  many complaints have been forwarded in several offices about increased Corruption and people have not received Justice as required by the law.

Mr Kanyeihamba said that Judiciary must be Investigated and strengthened .He added that the call for increased number of Judges is not all  when the house is not cleaned .

He further called for a Commission made up of Judges from the Commonwealth to investigate the alleged Corruption in a view of recommending appropriate reforms and action.
