Police in Bushenyi is investigating circumstances under which a 30 -year- old part time  lecturer at Kampala International University (KIU) western campus  was beheaded  by unknown people .

The  decomposing body of  Mbasa Demas,  who is also a  nursing officer at Bushenyi Health Centre IV was Saturday  found on a farm in Bwatogo cell, central division in Bushenyi municipality.

The district criminal investigations officer Fredrick Wetaya said his body was identified by his phone which was found at the scene.

“It is his phone that helped us to locate his parents and relatives,”  said  Wetaya.

The  body was taken to Kitagata hospital and later to his parent’s home for burial in Rukungiri district.
