Kenya’s next president will be sworn in on March 26, three weeks after the General Election,The  Head of  Kenya’s Civil Service, Francis Kimemia  said on Friday

Kimemia released Kenya’s Transition Timetable  during a breakfast meeting at a Nairobi hotel .The official also announced that the ruling President ,Mwai Kibaki will remain in office until the new president is sworn in.

Kenya’s General elections will be held in Kenya on 4 March 2013,electing the President, Senators, County Governors, Members of Parliament, Civic Wards and Women County Representatives.

If the Election ends with a run off ,President Mwai Kibaki is likely to remain in power till June .

The eight president candidates in Kenya’s 2013 Election include: Prime Minister Raila Odinga (Cord), Deputy Prime Ministers Uhuru Kenyatta (Jubilee) and Musalia Mudavadi (Amani).

Other candidates include : Martha Karua (Narc Kenya), Peter Kenneth (Eagle), James ole Kiyiapi (RBK), Paul Muite (Safina) and Mohamed Abduda Dida (ARK).

Their respective running mates are: Kalonzo Musyoka (Cord), William Ruto (Jubilee), Jeremiah Kioni (Amani), Augustine Lotodo (Narc Kenya), Ronnie Osumba (Eagle), Winnie Kaburu Kinyua (RBK), Shem Ochuodho (Safina) and Joshua Odongo Onono (ARK).
