The ruling on Geoffrey Kazinda’s bail application has been adjourned to 6th Wednesday February 2013 by the presiding judge, Judge David Wangutusi.
Principal Accountant in the Office of the Prime Minister, Geoffrey Kazinda who is represented by city lawyer, MacDosman Kabega in the case involving charges of forgery of the signature of Pius Bigirimana, the permanent secretary in the OPM and making document without authority will hear if he is eligible for bail come next week, Wednesday.
According to prosecution, Kazinda should not be allowed bail becuase he has a certain amount of influence on the people and he could use this influence against the witnesses who are supposed to testify against him.
Kazinda is seeking application on grounds that it is his constitutional right and he has been on remand at Luzira prison. He had six sureties.
