The Inspector Gen of Police Gen Kale kaihura wants East African member states to harmonize laws to end the increased trans-border crimes.
While at the official opening of the ongoing Eastern Africa Police Chiefs Cooperation Organization workshop in Kampala yesterday,Gen Kaihura said that criminals have made it a habit to escape to other countries to escape trial in their own countires.
He said that police in the Eastern Africa region Block should work together with the existing laws to arrest criminals who cross to other countries by harmonizing their laws.
The east African police chief’s cooperation organization meeting brought together regional CID’S, police Chiefs, and the Interpol to discuss initiatives to tighten the grip on the increased trans-boarder Crimes which the criminals are taking advantage of.
