Katy Perry sparked rumors that she could be engaged to boyfriend, and play boy, John Mayer when she stepped out wearing a ruby ring on Valentines day.

Perry, 28, and Mayer, 35,  started dating after Perry and her husband, Russell Brad divorced. However, their relationship was seen as one of doom because of Mayer’s previous relationships which always ended up with Mayer looking like the bad guy and the women crying their hearts out. However, his relationship with Perry is different.

He recently said his relationship with the pop singer was ‘very human’ and that he was trying to walk down the aisle. However, he did not say if it was with his current beau or not.

Mayer has dated some of the best names in Hollywood ranging from America’s Sweetheart, Jennifer Aniston to Jessica Simpson and Taylor Swift.

If true, this will be the second marriage for Perry and the first for Mayer.
