Kampala Land Board has been dissolved.From now on all land registry  issues in Kampala will be handled by the Kampala Capital City Authority which is set to form its own land board .

The Cabinet has approved a plan to allow KCCA  to establish a new land board to replace the current Kampala District Land Board.Appearing before the Public Service and Local Government Committee on Tuesday,The Minster for Kampala ,Frank Tumwebaze  said the pending cases in court related to dissolving  the Kampala land Board will continue as the authority gets another body .

In July last year the Court of Appeal stopped KCCA from disbanding Kampala District Land Board and transferring its powers to the Uganda Land Commission.Justice Steven Kavuma, who made the ruling, also restrained KCCA from creating a new land board, claiming that it is acting on the advice of the solicitor general.
