Government is going to construct 20 or 22 more roads countrywide through the ministry of transport and works.
According to Eng. Ibrahim Byandala, the Minister of Transport, approximately 2000km roads are going to be constructed country-wide in three main regions. Among these are the Albertine region which is known for its oil, the highly productive agricultural areas and areas with potential of tourism.
The ministry requires sh20b to work on these roads although no time frame was given on which the roads will be constructed.
These roads will be in addition to the already ongoing construction works going on in the country.
