The government has released some road maintenance equipments for maintaining the roads in Arua municipality which has been bad for years.

The equipments were bought from China to help the local governments fix roads in the rural areas and districts.

The exercise has brought joy among  Arua leaders and districts.

The state minister for Investment Eng. Dr Gabriel Aridru last year promised that they procured a cluster of road construction and maintenance equipment which he said that were to be sent to all districts .

However the equipments were sent to other districts but Arua district did not get any.

The Arua RDC, Ibrahim Abiriga, highly appreciated the initiative saying that it’s a sign of commitment by the government.

The equipment includes bull dozers, compactors, graders, and trucks.
