The minister of primary education Kamanda Batalingaya has revealed that government needs over 26billion shillings for students loan scheme.
The minister revealed these during the official launch of parliamentary forum on quality education.
The minister said that once cabinet approves the proposed loan scheme Bill by May this year, it will be scrutinized by parliament to make amendments to the proposed modalities of accessing the loan and paying back.
“Students will be encouraged to apply for the better courses where they will be sure of getting jobs after school” The minister noted
