The Police in Gulu district have arrested 5 People all residents of Bungatira Sub County in Gulu district who are being suspected to be conning people.The case has been reported at Gulu central police station under CRB number 412/2013.

The five ladies includes one one woman only identified LakotĀ  according to James Asubu the officer in charge of Crimes in Gulu central police station.

Asubu told journalists yesterday that some of them have been seen moving in the villages with intentions to steal.

Asubu also maintained that residents said they were not secure since most of them were strangers in the villages.

After interrogation, one suspect Lakot told the police that they were looking for Gold and Mercury.

But Asubu criticized them saying that there were no Gold and Mercury mined in Gulu saying that the 5 suspects were having a hidden agenda.

He adds that they will be charged with criminal trespass and threatening people since they were got with knives in their bags.
