Salaamu Musumba the Vice President of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party  has been released .

Musumba who was arrested with other FDC party members in Butaleja district at the eve of Butaleja woman MP by-election have been released with no case to answer.

Musumba was  accused at bribing voters at the time of her  arrest.Police deputy spokesperson ,Vincent Sekate told the press that Musumba was  trying to distribute different items to voters ahead of  Monday polls.

However ,The FDC spokesperson ,Wafula Ogutu told the press today that Musumba and  17 others have been released with no case imposed on them.

Butaleja  district voted on Monday ,February 11 in a by-election to replace the late Hon. Cerina Nebanda who died in December 2012.
