Over 45 Ex-Lords Resistance Army  combatants have received cows as a way of improving on their livelihoods.

The cows were given under the NUSAF II restocking Programs in Bungatira sub County in Gulu district.

The restocking program will  enable the ex-LRA combatants to become self reliant.

Simon Opige the Chairman LC III of Bungatira sub County in Gulu district appreciated the initiative saying it will also enable the rest of the LRA who are still in the bush to return home.

Opige urged the government to continue supporting the Ex-LRA Combatants so that they feel at home.

Some of the beneficiaries were from Lawiadul, Lukodi A and Lukodi B.

Opige also appeals to the beneficiaries to focus on ensuring that the animals given to them multiply to enable them make an investment from them.

He urged them never to be tempted to slaughter the cows before they multiply.
