Dogs have become a nuisance to the residents of Masaka were they are said to bite residents and animals alike scaring off the residents.

Residents complain that so far, the government has done nothing to help with the dogs which are said to bite anything ranging from humans to animals like. Residents now hide in their houses and lock the doors as soon as it clocks 6pm because of the fear of the dogs.

The residents complained to the dog owners who were urged to take their dogs for immunization but instead hid them and now they have turned on the residents. They said there was no cure at the time for them and the only thing remaining for them to do is hide in their homes until the dogs flee.

It is not clear where exactly the dogs come from but it is assumed that some come from neighboring districts of Lwengo and Sembabule.
