The police in Gulu have summoned the Gulu Deputy Speaker Joyce Alima to record a statement with them following the theft of a party wear that belongs to the former Woman MP Contestant.
Christine Atimango told police that while at the introduction ceremony of the Chairman LC 5 Gulu, she saw Alima donned in her party wears which got lost 1 year ago.
Atimango approached Alima, demanding for an explanation where Alima had got the Party dress from where Alima explained that she bought it from a friend.
The fuming Atimango said that she was not pleased with the answer and immediately begun undressing the Deputy Speaker.
However ,the deputy speaker fled before being stripped completely leaving her shoes behind.
James Asubu, the police officer in charge of Crimes at Gulu central Police station confirmed the matter and said that the matter has been recorded at the police station under file number: SD 76/23/02/2013/ theft.
Atimango says the dress got lost last year when one of the women whom she had employed as a maid stole her household property and disappeared from home.
Alima have rubbished the allegation saying that she did not steal anything from Atimango.She did not tell whether she would follow the police’s summon to record her statement.
By Press time she had not yet reached the police station.
