Debbie Ford, the author of The Dark Side of the Light Chasers has died at the age 57.
After a long battle with cancer, Ford passed away at her home in San Diego on Sunday.
With nine books to her name, Ford’s first book, The Dark Side of the Light Chasers opened the door for her to write. The Dark Side of the Light Chasers, 1998 became a New York Times bestseller which aimed to help readers overcome their darker side.
Ford, in the book said rather than deny our dark side, we should give ourselves the freedom to live authentically by acknowledging it because they are our hidden strengths.
In a statement, her sister, Arielle said all she ever wanted to do was help people break free from their emotional baggage and fear.
She is also survived by her mother, son and brother.
